About the Role

HMD Electrical Solutions is seeking a meticulous and organized Finance Administrator to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies, managing cash flow, processing invoices, preparing financial reports, and ensuring our financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role is crucial to maintaining the financial health and stability of our company.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Policy Development & Process Implementation: Create and refine financial policies and procedures that ensure efficient and compliant financial operations. Implement processes that enhance financial controls, transparency, and overall efficiency within the finance department.


  2. Invoice Processing & Review: Review, verify, and process all incoming invoices promptly and accurately. Ensure that payments are processed within agreed terms and that any discrepancies are resolved quickly and effectively.


  3. Financial Planning & Performance Tracking: Develop comprehensive financial plans with clear, measurable goals to support the company’s growth and stability. Regularly track financial performance against these goals, providing insights and recommendations for adjustments as needed.


  4. Financial Reporting & Statement Preparation: Prepare detailed financial reports and statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present these reports to management with analysis and recommendations for action.


  5. Corporate Investment Monitoring: Oversee the company’s corporate investments, ensuring they are aligned with financial goals and risk management strategies. Monitor investment performance and make recommendations to optimize returns.


  6. Ledger & Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile ledgers and accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Identify and correct any discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain financial integrity.


  7. Record Management & File Organization: Maintain an organized and secure internal filing system, ensuring that all financial records are updated regularly and stored appropriately. Safeguard sensitive financial information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.


  8. Cash Flow Management: Accurately forecast and monitor the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations and strategic investments. Identify potential cash flow issues and provide timely solutions to maintain financial stability.


  9. Audit Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate the annual financial audits by ensuring that all financial records and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. Work closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance administration, accounting, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and cash flow management.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, and other accounting systems.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
